Prader-Willi Homes of California (formerly the Richard de Lone Special Housing Project) is proud to announce the December 11 opening of our first home, in Novato, CA! Now is a wonderful time to donate and support our inaugural residents: Ben, Oscar, Juliette, and Anne.

The four of them met last week and expressed their joy and excitement at moving into their new home together.  Likewise, their families are thrilled and relieved to have their loved ones safe and poised to thrive in a home designed and staffed specifically for PWS.

This year we are asking for your contributions toward buying a passenger van to provide  residents with supervised transportation to doctor’s appointments, day programs, and fun, educational outings. This van is the culminating purchase to give these four young adults the life they deserve.

Our work doesn’t end here. It was heartbreaking, but we had to waitlist worthy candidates who desperately wanted to live in our Novato home. Any surplus funds after purchasing the van will go towards buying our second home for individuals with PWS, who often feel there is no place for them in this world.
